Choosing your Cup Size

Check your cervix height during your period, because its position can change throughout your cycle and can even vary from one period day to another. With clean hands, gently insert a finger into the canal and feel for the cervix. It often feels a little like the tip of a nose, although bodies vary. If you reach it quite quickly, you probably have a lower cervix. If you need to insert most of your finger, it is higher. Finger lengths differ, so knuckle measurements are only a rough guide. If your cervix sits very low, a cup may feel too long on some days. A disc can sometimes be a better option because it sits differently.
